Royal Canin was founded in 1968 ․ by the French veterinarian Jean Catare. In 1974, Royal Canin entered the European market, in 1980, it released the first balanced feed for dogs of a large breed. By 1985, Royal Canin was already available in the US market. The first cat food was released by Royal Canin in 1994.

1997 ․ The Royal Canin encyclopedia is dedicated to dogs, and a year later to cats. 
Their authors received a Grand Prix from the Academy of Veterinarians.

In the same year, Royal Canin released the world's first dog-adapted dog food.

    2002 Royal Canin presents a feed designed specifically for 
a specific breed - Yorkshire Terrier. 
This food was completely adapted to the physical and
 physiological requirements of the animal.

    2009 Royal Canin is represented on all continents except Antarctica.

In 2012, Royal Canin made another revolution. After 10 years of experimentation, he finally creates a food intended for allergic dogs. As a result of these studies, a special feed for each animal is now being produced, adapted to its genetic code. Royal Canin is the only super premium food in Armenia, which has been imported without interruption for 13 years.
